Pauline Richardson, RN
TASK III Nurse
Pauline is an experienced Registered Nurse with a comprehensive range of nursing involvement in neuroscience over the past 27 years. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing at Northern Kentucky University. After graduating, she worked at a local hosptial where she developed her love of the stroke patient and from there she began working at the University Hospital Medical Center with all levels of stroke. She continued to work at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in the neuroscience unit in various roles over the next 18 years and achieved her certification in neuroscience nursing. Her clinical experience and desire to create a positive environment for the patient, lead her to becoming the manager of the unit, where her leadership skills helped create a loyal team of caring, skillful staff. After many years of management, Pauline transitioned to the Stroke Navigator role following the patients in the hospital setting, providing education and resources to the patients and families prior to discharge. Pauline serves as a nurse with the Telephone Assessment and Skill-building kit (TASK III Program) for family caregivers.
