Noel Johns, BSN, RN
TASK III Nurse
Noel Johns, BSN, RN, started her nursing career at the University of Virginia Medical Center in the Thoracic Cardiovascular Post-Operative Intensive Care Unit (ICU). After several fulfilling years in the ICU, she opted for a change and took travel nursing assignments in interventional radiology and ICUs in Norfolk, Virginia, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 2018, she and her husband moved overseas where she served as the Program Coordinator for Women Infant Children (WIC) Overseas at the US naval base in Manama, Bahrain, a job she loved and which served as the catalyst for her decision to return to school to become a family nurse practitioner. After a tour in Bahrain, Noel and her family moved to Bogotá, Colombia, where she started her education in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) – Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Program at the University of Cincinnati. While living in Colombia and completing her DNP coursework, she also studied Spanish, volunteered her time with a local pediatrician, and along with her husband welcomed two children to their family. After living abroad for 6 years, Noel and her family have returned to the US and she is excited to finish her degree and start her new career as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
