Laura Hangen, MSN, RN

TASK III Nurse

Laura Hangen is an MSN, RN Cincinnati native with experience in various areas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Neuropsychology from the University of Cincinnati. She later earned her Master’s in Nursing from Mount St. Joseph University when she realized her passion for not only research, but hands on patient care as well. Her nursing career began in Dayton, Ohio where she worked on a hospital unit specializing in strokes, seizures, brain cancer, and other complex neurological issues. A year later, she transitioned to the Intensive Care Unit nurse where she expanded her skill set further. During her 3 years in the ICU, she remained particularly interested and passionate for her neuro patients. In her last year in the ICU, she served as the nursing clinical care coordinator, where she provided clinical and administrative support to the nursing team while implementing new education and clinical practices on the unit. For the last two years, she has worked as a nurse on the post anesthesia care unit (PACU). She currently works as a PACU nurse, a research nurse, and is also a full-time mom.
